A hole is one of our exit nodes — a server in a particular country that your encrypted traffic exits from. Playing a hole means routing through that location.

Distance and load. A hole near you has less round-trip latency, so it usually feels fastest; a distant or busy hole adds delay. Pick a closer hole for speed.
